Fanfictions

I've been writing fanfictions since 2020, and I've been posting them on my Lofter account since then. Viewing fanfictions as an interesting way of creating an alternate path for the original work, I believe it's one of the hardest art forms I've dealt with. Writers should be no strangers to the situation where you find it's difficult to decide the fate of your original characters because you already view them as individuals instead of just some ink after so long of writing about them. This circumstance only gets worse when you're writing fanfictions, as you're dealing with another writer's character, who is relatively a stranger and an individual to you. After all, you're not their "birth parent", how would you know what they're thinking, right?

Despite creating fanfictions being quite a challenge, I still love writing them and love the characters I've written about- not only did they push me to think, to imagine, to try and pass the boundary I set for myself, they also taught me to grow as a person by letting me think in other people's shoes and gain multiple perspectives. And I will continue to create when I get older and lose my hair( hopefully not), I hope to continue to create until I'm sixty-four.
