Wire Sculptures

City of Sky

This sculpture depicts a future so heavily polluted that people can only live inside of lungs as their last resort. Staring at the tree-like tissues inside the lungs, will they regret harming nature as they used to?

Walking Dead

This sculpture depicts a creature with only limbs to walk around. Its living is without purpose, it only exists( or does it really?).

Nest

This sculpture tries to reflect the over-packaging situation in daily life, where the sellers wrap up their goods like building a nest.

Swan

Inspiration from a poem by Zao Zhang, in which he expressed his anguish and struggle when facing literature( metaphored as swan in the poem). This sculpture tries to convey that same feeling the poet showed in his work, showing that as resplendent and tame as literature, or art in general, seems, it's not so approachable to artists, sometimes even seem cruel and indifferent to them.

......

This sculpture depicts a state where there's simply nothing to see, to say, to hear. A state of empty. Thus the person in the picture threw away their head. To not feel at all.

Hedgehog

This sculpture depicts a state where people can have defenses in daily interactions, like hedgehogs with their spikes. It might not be their intention to harm anyone, but it is in their nature or spikes might slip out through actions or words. Also like the hedgehog, humans have parts of soft skin where one can touch without hurting. Just mind to avoid the spikes.
